Mission Statement
Our mission is to support high-achieving, under-resourced high school students in navigating the transition to college. By providing personalized guidance, academic support, and college advising mentorship, we help to position students to access competitive opportunities and pursue their dream career path.
Services
We offer personalized tutoring, SAT prep, and one-on-one college planning to holistically support students so they are prepared for college and their future ahead. Through mentoring, application support, and skill building, we work alongside each student to strengthen confidence, identify pathways, and remove barriers that stand between potential and opportunity.
Weekly 1-on-1 Academic Tutoring Focused on SAT Prep, English, and Math
- Reading comprehension, grammar, and math skills

Bi-weekly 1-on-1 College Advising Mentorship
- Individualized support in the college planning and application process to increase competitiveness
- College and scholarship essay revision assistance
- Scholarship, career, financial & resume guidance
Personalized & Holistic Support
- Embedding practical life skill strategies into primary programming
- Assisting students in navigating internal & external challenges during to smooth their path to college
- 1-1 check-ins and ongoing collaboration with program director
Events & Celebrations
- Connecting students, parents, CLTRising team members, and community members to strengthen motivation
- Providing hands-on student and parent workshops & resources to build knowledge & increase confidence
- Celebrating successes and growth of CLTRising scholars
Academic Resources & Financial Support
- Scholarship funding for prestigious academic opportunities
- Reimbursement of transportation costs & SAT fees
- Study guide practice books & graphing calculators
This Program is for You If:
- You are a rising junior who is a high-achieving, hard-working student with a 3.75 unweighted GPA.
- You are willing to put in extra time and effort to reach your educational goals.
- You want to improve your academics at school, especially in English and Math.
- You want to boost your SAT scores.
- You desire to attend a selective college or university.
- You want to receive personalized guidance through the college application, scholarship, and essay writing process.
- You are eligible to receive a Federal Pell Grant and CommonApp fee waivers and/or your family receives a lower income according to the USDA income eligibility guidelines.

Enrollment opens for eligible sophomores in February 2026 and closes in April 2026.
